A lovingly made zine celebrating my late grandfather’s best known recipes. Over a summer he taught me how to make everything included. A lot of these recipes hadn’t been written down, so bit by bit I wrote out and tested all of them. A collection of delicious, simple recipes that are proudly Newfoundlander.

“ART AS A TOOL FOR CHANGE” recognizes the power of the artist as an activist, communicator, and trailblazer who organizes information in ways that can engage and challenge current social structures. 

The diverse line work signifies the complexities of social, environmental, and economic issues. The pencil, used by an artist, becomes the literal tool for change; a conduit used to distill multitudes of ideas and create work that can effect change. 


This design was created for a limited run of shirts for Eastern Edge Gallery’s Art as a Tool for Change symposium in March 2022.
